As you can see, I live in a house full of males, so Christmas can sometimes be extra tricky for me. My guys are not into baking cookies, long leisurely trips to the mall, or sipping lattes while getting Christmas pedicures. But, they love celebrating Christmas and always want to keep this mamma happy. After all, when mamma's not happy - nobody's happy. Or, so is the saying in our house.
We do enjoy going to Christmas concerts and celebrating the holidays with friends. A nighttime ride through neighborhoods while looking at Christmas lights and a quick shopping trip for presents works too. There is always Christmas music and candles lit at our home during this time of year. The sweet aroma of cinnamon, french vanillla, and spruce pine greet our guests each time we open the front door.
Something extra special that we love as a family is getting Christmas cards in the mail. I've shared the reason why how we make this a very special time for our family on

Your blog post with Glynnis this morning was so inspiring. It is a perfect way to remember and pray for those who are far away. I do have a prayer request. I have a daughter that has walked away from the Lord and is involved with the occult. My heart breaks for her and her children. I would ask for prayers for protection for the grandchildren and a renewing of her heart.

Thank you for sharing your post on Glynnis' this morning. Reminds me years ago of hearing Emilie Barnes tell how she would put all her Christmas cards in a basket and then beginning January 1 she would take out one card each day and pray for that family...Great ideas!

I thank you so much for the sharing and encouragement you both shared this morning! I praise God for loving us and sending His son the be born and take our place at the cross! It is such a blessing and I wouldn't want to imagtion life without Him!! Pray for the families in Conneitcit who will be missing their children this Christmas!! So sad...may they find HOPE!
